SAUDI CONSULATE IN ISTANBUL: WE DENY REPORTS PUBLISHED BY REUTERS REGARDING KHASHOGGI'S DEATH

The Saudi Consulate in Istanbul has denied reports that Saudi citizen, Jamal Khashoggi, was killed in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, according to Reuters reports quoting Turkish officials.

Expressing its strong denunciation of such statements, the Consulate suspected that "these statements are issued by Turkish officials familiar with the case or authorized to make declarations on the matter."

"A security delegation consisting of Saudi investigators arrived in Istanbul on Saturday at the request of the Saudi side, and with the consent of the brotherly Turkish side, to participate in the investigation into the disappearance of the Saudi citizen, Jamal Khashoggi," the Saudi Consulate indicated

"The Kingdom is keen on ensuring the safety of its citizens wherever they are and on the concerned Saudi authorities' following-up on this matter to know the whole truth," the Consulate asserted.
